Self Motivation

At times, self motivation can be trying. With all of life stresses and continuous road blocks, we can often find ourselves overwhelmed.  Whether it be cleaning the garage, stop smoking, find a new job, stop nail biting, get over the fear of flying, learn to get along with your spouse, and so forth.

Here's the short cut to self motivation.  Self motivation first begins with a little self-talk of, “it’s time to get the needed job done”. The next step is to stop blaming everyone else for the task continuing to lay dormant.  The third step, is committing to your self-talk. The fourth step, is making a list of pros, of how this finished task will change your life, your situation, or make life easier on and for you and/or your family. The fourth step is making a list of how you will get there. The fifth step, is setting yourself a time limit on getting the task done.  The sixth step, is to begin the first task on your list towards reaching your goal.

If, during your journey, you slip or fall behind, don't scold and beat yourself up.  Recognize what is happening, and move again, towards your goal, that very moment.  Don't put off till tomorrow, cause tomorrow never comes.  But instead, re-commit that moment, and move forward.

Remember, it's all about your own personal mind-set.   And it's you that you must change, if you want to see results.  Remember, it takes 30 days to make a new way of life a habit.

If you feel you need a little more push or need someone that will make you responsible in meeting your goals within a resonable time, there's nothing wrong with reaching out to a life coach or hypnotist !  This can actually speed up the process, especially if you're needing a "jump start".
